PRODUCT MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Group Program Manager, the Product Manager will work independently and with Technical Managers, Program Managers, Account Managers, and other Product Managers to accomplish the goals of the Organization. The Product Manager will be responsible for product development, introduction, and support through the product’s lifecycle. The Product Manager will always demonstrate professional appearance, behavior, and attitude while performing his/her job duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as primary POC (point of contact) for management of each product line
- Establish, organize, and facilitate customer meetings as needed for regular support of each product line
- Run projects related to product lines, including both customer escalations and internally driven task force activities
- Manage new product development deliverables and schedule in collaboration with R&D managers and other technical team members
- Develop new product sales models and marketing plans with account team members and technical teams
- Analyze market conditions, customer roadmaps, and industry developments in order to regularly present relevant market updates to senior management team.
- Develop and use cost models to characterize product cost structure and determine potential pricing models
- Collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, and manufacturing groups to understand the manufacturing process, cost, and capital expenditure requirements
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management, QA, Lab, and other affected departments to ensure product quality throughout product life cycle
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience working in a customer facing role required
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or specialty chemical industries required
- BA/BS required
- BS in physical sciences or engineering is preferred
- Project management skills required
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred
- Strong analytical/computer skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally when it is deemed safe and approved by management
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines
- Work effectively independently and as part of a dynamic/collaborative team
- Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
