THE OPPORTUNITY
 
Our Client is an online media distribution business that owns and operates subscriber based multimedia content platforms. These platforms distribute digital content such as movies, music, video games and e-books.

  • Must be bilingual (English and Ukrainian)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Project & Visio.
  • GitHub and Subversion (SVN) Version Control experience
  • Ability to design processes to increase production capacity and quality
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Providing effective communication and support between Barbados and Ukraine offices. Both written and spoken to a very high level of proficiency in both languages.
  • Ensuring 48 Hour policy for impediments / blockers is effective, escalating issues to Agile Coach, where required.
  • Facilitating requests for new sites and maintenance of existing sites via 3rd Party.
  • Reviewing requests and ensuring that all required details are provided prior to request being submitted to Ukraine Team.
  • Ensuring sites are subject to regular quality checks in conjunction with QA, based in both Ukraine & Barbados.
  • Appropriately tracking and updating progress on site delivery and maintenance in real time reporting systems.
  • Review daily reports from the Ukraine Team and ensure appropriate required actions and follow up take place.
  • Author weekly reports to 3rd Party which trend KPI / SLA targets and actuals, based on Cycle Time and Lead Time, ensuring that trends outside of standard deviation are explained in a summary context.
  • Review the current site creation process on an ongoing basis and optimise where necessary, to lower cost, increase efficiency of the process and improve site quality.
  • Attend daily stand up calls with Ukraine Team and Ukraine Project Manager from the Barbados office, ensuring that impediments affecting progress are discussed, resolved or escalated as appropriate.
  • Act as a single point of contact for 3rd party site requestor and internal stakeholders for site production.
  • Ensure that process documentation is kept up to date and correctly versioned, with the assistance of Technical Author.
  • Create workflows for sub-process to incorporate legal and compliance checks.
  • Handle ad-hoc translation requirements, as and when required or requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Project & Visio.
  • Exposure of GitHub and Subversion (SVN) Version Control would be beneficial.
  • High energy levels, enthusiasm and superior communication skills.
  • The ability to assimilate and predict potential technical challenges which affect production cycle time and quality of sites and course correct to ensure that the production pipeline remains clear.
  • Proven ability in the proposal of practical solutions to increase production and quality to optimal, to ensure tolerances to maintain standard deviation are controlled and consistently monitored.
  • A persuasive, persistent and credible approach to make the teams see the full picture and why change and continual improvement is necessary.
  • Knowledge of agile and lean production practices in a technical web site production environment.
  • A background in the application of quality processes within a web site production environment.
  • You design process “not for process sake” but to optimise production capacity without compromising quality. Ultimately, the changes you help make have a positive impact on the business and the people within it.
  • Considered and calm in your approach, within a fast moving and sometimes chaotic environment.
