This consulting engagement is for a 1.5 year+. Candidates must be able to relocate in or near Rosemead, CA for the duration of the project.

  • This traditional project management position reports to the Principal Manager of Safety Programs and is responsible for managing projects and coordinating work activities related to OUR CLIENT’s public safety efforts.
  • The successful candidate will coordinate with individuals from various OUR CLIENT organizations, such as Corporate Communications, Transmission and Distribution, Claims and Law, and Corporate Security, to continually improve OUR CLIENT’s public safety activities and initiatives. Typical responsibilities include:
  • Providing project management and coordination for public safety initiatives and efforts
  • Coordinating Public Safety Working Team and Executive Steering Team meetings and related activities
  • Strategic planning and project support surrounding public safety work activities
  • Managing data strategies in an effort to provide OUR CLIENT senior leadership with information necessary for operational decision making related to public safety, working with the safety incident investigation and analytics group and organizational unit data analytics groups to identify trends in safety program execution based on available data
  • Manage projects and tasks assigned, such as preparation for presentations, management of budget issues, and preparation of written documents
  • Regularly benchmark with other large utilities and industry groups in order to stay current on recent developments and practices in the assigned areas
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Typically possesses three to five years of experience in managing large scale projects and use of associated management tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop requirements, adhere to schedules, develop and execute project plans, meet deadlines, operate under tight time constraints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas and information to different audiences and levels.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related fields of studies
  • A minimum of ten years' experience managing and implementing multiple projects
